Finding the truth is not enough.
What we also have to find is justice.

Jubilant Sykes
Monday, 12 March 2007
ImageSony Classical recording artist Jubilant Sykes is a classically-trained baritone who recorded an album entitled Wait for Me (2001) featuring classical contemporary songs by Bruce Springstein, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and Brian Wilson among others. (Sorry y'all. He's married.)

Jubilant’s debut album, released in 1998 and self-titled Jubilant, featured jazz trumpeter/composer Terence Blanchard in revolutionary arrangements of spirituals and hymns.

As a classical soloist with orchestras, Jubilant Sykes has appeared with the Boston Pops under John Williams, as well as other orchestras lead by famed conductors Lorin Maazel, Raymond Leppard, David Zinman, Andrew Litton and more.

A first place winner in the regional Metropolitan Opera auditions in Los Angeles, Jubilant made his Met debut as Jake in Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess during the company’s 1990-91 season. He will appear in concert with the Chicago Sinfonietta on March 18 & 19 singing traditional songs including “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child.” (See Calendar for more details.)
