Price: Donations. Transformative Visions/Art Show & Jazz/Spoken Word Concert hosted by the One Life Institute featuring Destiny and A Band of Angels as the musical transformers. Spoken word artist, dance and visual art will bring about the beautiful balance for this evening of artistics ministry. Destiny, the harpist from the hood , will be performing at the Chapel of the Chimes (4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA, 510-464-3086) on Sunday, March 11, 2007 @ 2-4PM. Price: $20 in advance/ $25 at door. Soul @ the Chimes!! Destiny opens for Sonata Pi at Chapel of the Chimes. May  Oakland East Bay Symphony presents Porgy & Bess (1935; concert version) on May 18, 8PM at the Paramount Theatre-Oakland. There will be a pre-concert talk at 7:00pm by John Kendall Bailey .
