The Assistant Dean will meet regularly with students and families to conduct school tours, counsel them through the admission process, respond to specific inquiry questions, and prepare applications for review by and be a member of the Admission Committee. The Assistant Dean will be expected to travel extensively on behalf of the School to recruit students. The Assistant Dean will be responsible for advising a group of Walnut Hill juniors and seniors on the college and conservatory process. The Assistant Dean must maintain an active knowledge of the higher education admission process and aid students in preparing for the application process to colleges, conservatories, art schools and universities. Qualifications: Successful candidates will have a bachelors degree with a degree in music strongly preferred; demonstrated excellence in writing; knowledge of and enthusiasm for the arts, particularly classical music, and education; information technology competency; willingness to travel; a sense of humor. The School also seeks candidates who can fluently speak and conduct recruitment work in Korean or Chinese.
