A recent graduate of Binghamton University, La Toya Lewis has obtained her Master of Music degree while singing with the Tri-Cities Opera. Ms. Lewis performed the roles of Donna Elvira and Micaela with Tri-Cities. She also won the college's bi-annual Concerto and Aria competition. Ms. Lewis has graced the same stage previously in the Bach B-Minor Mass as the Soprano soloist in Spring 2007. In Summer 2007, Ms. Lewis covered the role of Clara in Porgy and Bess with the Utah Festival Opera and performed the role of Consuela in West Side Story. In Fall 2006, Ms. Lewis placed second in the 2nd Annual Charles A. Lynam Vocal Competition in Greensboro, NC and was a Finalist in the Spring 2006 Jenny Lind Competition. She has studied under the tutelage of Dr. Sherry Overholt for four years at Purchase College and performed such roles as Belinda and the First Witch from Dido and Aeneas and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro in April 2006.
